Photographing a Columbus Park Refectory wedding
These two just celebrated their anniversary! Excited to share their images, and congrats to the couple!
I met Bevin & Graeme through my old neighbors in Logan Square, whose wedding I also photographed. They are a fantastically unique, emotional and fun-loving couple. Their wedding day showcased their whimsical taste (check out those floral Doc Martens) and how inclusive they are as humans. From start to finish, the day was a team effort, with both family and friends coming together to both create the floral and decor, and make the day special for the couple.
If you haven’t been to the Columbus Park Refectory, it’s truly a hidden gem on the city’s westside. The park itself is considered a masterpiece of Jens Jenson, who pioneered Prairie-style architecture. The refectory is located at the northeast corner of the park, and features Spanish-style architecture with terra cotta features. The huge ballroom with floor to ceiling windows overlooks the lagoon. It was absolutely a perfect fit for Bevin and Graeme, and cannot thank them enough for allowing me to be a part of it!
