Photographing a Lincoln Square Chicago Engagement Session

To date, this has to be one of the most unique engagement sessions I've photographed.  When I'm discussing engagement photo ideas with my clients, I always ask: "What places have meaning for your relationship?" or "What do you both like to do together?"  Tam & Brendan didn't hesitate and said, "We like to sit on our couch and eat sushi together.  Can you photograph that?"  Heck.... why not!?  I showed up at their apartment in Lincoln Square, and that's exactly what we did.  It was fun and hilarious!  They both have theater backgrounds, so I have to say there were brilliant in front of the camera.  I also truly enjoy photographing in the Chicago neighborhoods.  I feel like most couple's I work with really have a connection to where they live in the city, and it marks a place and a time in their relationship.  Plus, Lincoln Square is beautiful.  We then capped off the session with some gelato.  Truly looking forward to their wedding next year at Carnivale!
