Photographing an Ignite Glass Studios wedding
I’m so appreciative of the heartfelt and genuine looks these two grooms were serving up on their wedding day. As a photographer, I’m always looking for THAT moment, a picture that captures the affection and emotion of the day… and I am proud of how many of those moments I was able to photograph for Chris & Mike.
The couple got married at Ignite Glass Studios, a favorite Chicago wedding venue for the rooftop views, courtyard that features glass works by local artists. The venue is a perfect blank space, which allows for the photos to be even more focused on the moments. I especially loved photographing the outdoor cocktail hour, full of family, friends and hugs.
I’m so grateful that Chris & Mike took my advice and carved out a little time for portraits in the city. We visited Milton Olive Park for bridal party photos and the weather was absolutely gorgeous. The Chicago skyline photos are always a great compliment to the images I capture at the reception… and it was great to hear the couple agreed that these photographs were worth the trip. Afterwards they told me they had a blast with their wedding party.
Chris & Mike… thank you for trusting me with your day. It was a joy to be a part of your wedding and capture the love between you both, and the beautiful support from your community!
