Laura & Michael hosted an incredibly stylish and modern wedding at the Thompson Chicago in the Gold Coast neighborhood. I always enjoy collaborating with clients who have a clear vision of their wedding day, while at the same time allowing room for my process, and for letting the day unfold naturally. Weather-wise it can be a little risky planning a spring wedding in Chicago. Although it was cold, the sun was out, which made for some great bridal party photos in Mariano Park. I appreciated that everyone (especially the bridesmaids) braved the elements, and it truly paid off. Back inside, the Thompson Chicago's lobby and grand staircase is an outstanding photo location. The entire day was amazing, and to top it off, the couple was open to taking one last "night portrait" outside the hotel. If time allows, this is something I strongly recommend, since it makes for a perfect closing photo to the wedding album. Thank you again to Laura & Michael for choosing to work with me!
