Michelle & Charles were truly fun photograph. I treat engagement sessions as an icebreaker with a new client. Almost no need for them, since being in front of the camera seemed to come naturally. They were just themselves, and took comfort in simply being with one another; advice I would give any of the couples I work with. We started the session at the Chicago Women's Park in the South Loop. It's a great spot with gardens, fountains and the Clark House Museum. From there we headed to Pilsen and a new location for me, the Lacuna Artist Lofts. For clients interested in a more urban backdrop, there's lots of public art installations that are fun to interact with. As with many engagement sessions, you can't beat sunset near the lake, especially at Promontory Point. Photographing Michelle & Charles was a real treat, and I look forward to the wedding!
